Don’t know where to start . We arrived to a small check in window with an agent on the other side. Thankfully we were allowed to come inside. Not a usual check in counter. It was piled behind it with bags of what looked to be trash and household items. We went to our room across the parking lot . We were travelling with another couple . The bedspread on the bed was filthy , several large black grease stains there were paint splatters all over the trim around the doors , and even all along the lower part of the drapes , the one or two chairs in both the rooms were very dirty and shabby , and the vinyl flooring had big patches peeling off . Both couples woke up with sore backs from the beds. There was a pile of dirt and leaves in front of the door to our room . The hot water faucet in the bathroom had been turned off . We learned after we turned it on , it most likely was shut off because it was dripping . In the morning both rooms toilets would not flush and had backed up - obviously a blockage somewhere in the system . This seemed like perhaps a couple who are not familiar with the standards of cleanliness and upkeep of a hotel / motel had just recently opened up this spot and were robbing Peter to pay Paul and didn’t have the funds to make sure it was maintained properly . The gentleman behind the check in window was very nice , and he did promptly replace one of the bedspreads with another one that had several small cigarette holes in it. We stayed just one night and had paid *** incl tax for the two rooms . A reasonable rate for the location , but to say we were disappointed with the state of the rooms and the motel would be an understatement.
