March 2025 Stay at Wyndham Sacramento Overall Rating: 8.5/10 My March 2025 stay at the Wyndham Sacramento exceeded expectations in nearly every category, particularly for the exceptional value, friendly, accommodating and attentive staff, and solid amenities options. This 6-story, 230-room hotel, formerly a Crown Royal, is located just off I-80 and offers tremendous value for travelers prioritizing clean, modern accommodations with above-average amenities and genuinely excellent service. While there are some areas for improvement, such as the lack of an actual business center or laundry facilities, key card functionality issues, and narrow bar operational hours, Wyndham Sacramento feels like a 4-star hotel at a 3-star price. Check-In and Check-Out Check-in was exceptionally seamless, utilizing the hotel's convenient pre-check-in feature online. They emailed me a short pre-check-in form that I completed online prior to arrival. Upon walking up to the front desk, staff greeted me warmly, confirmed my name, and handed over my pre-loaded key cards, and Wi-Fi information. Additionally, they proactively explained the hours and location of the pool/spa, gym, and restaurant/bar without my needing to ask. The process took approximately 30 seconds, which is the smoothest I’ve experienced to date. Checkout was equally effortless. Staff and Service The staff at Wyndham Sacramento were among the most professional and accommodating I’ve met in recent memory. Every interaction, from check-in to resolving in-room requests were honored promptly and professionally. They honored my request for a quiet room on the 6th floor, and although I had to remind them that I had also requested a microwave to be placed in my room prior to arrival, when I called the front office, they brought a microwave up within minutes. A heater malfunction prompted another quick call for which they immediately provided a room change. All requests, including accommodating a room switch with two beds instead of one king, were handled courteously and efficiently without repeated reminders. Service at Wyndham Sacramento was genuinely exceptional. Staff is also multilingual (English, Russian, Spanish, Hindi) Safety and Cleanliness The hotel grounds, both interior and exterior, were impeccably clean and well-maintained. (*See pictures) Located in a secure area surrounded mostly by car dealerships, I encountered no safety concerns during my stay. Housekeeping ladies I encountered were friendly, detail oriented, professional and proactive, my room was thoroughly cleaned and restocked with towels, toiletries, (*See pictures) and coffee supplies upon request. You must call the lobby to request the room to be cleaned, and you must step out of the room while it is being cleaned and restocked. I found no critical issues during my stay. No bugs, multiple faulty systems, or rude staff. I made sure to book multiple rooms so my review could be as thorough as possible. The gentleman from maintenance who promptly brought up the microwave upon request, and the lady who is one of the grounds keepers was friendly and professional, as well, even helping me with the door as I checked out with all my luggage. There are also hand sanitizer dispensers located conveniently throughout the hotel, (*See pictures) although they should be refilled more frequently. Room, cleanliness and Amenities The rooms I stayed in are modern, clean, and well-maintained. (*See pictures) Furniture shows no signs of wear, and everything was good working order, minus the heater in the first room, which was not functioning upon arrival, but the issue was promptly resolved. Suites are also available. I booked a standard room which featured: Mini-Dorm-sized refrigerator (Too small even for short stays) Microwave (available upon request, although there may already be one in the room depending on the room you get) Modern bathroom and sleek modern sink area Comfortable beds and high-quality bed

We only stayed one night, but the beds were comfortable and the room was clean! Staff was pleasant! Only complaint is the freeway is right outside the hotel. Lots of road noise all night.

The room and amenities were excellent for the price. The room was spacious and well-maintained. I was pleased to see a hot tub on the premises. The location was near a freeway onramp yet surprisingly quiet for that location. The arrangement was not luxurious but more than I expected for the price.
