Coachman Inn

The property was well kept. The office was was ran professionally. The rooms were cleaner and more modern than a well rated chain hotel we stayed at the night before. Family advised the area has been seeing an upturn in new construction and updating of older buildings. This property is a great example of updating an older hotel. Con: One microwave in the hall to share speaks against every nice thing I have to say. You can do better. Get a microwave in each room.

From the street this 60-room property doesn’t seem like it’d be that great, but you’d be surprised. Don’t let the bigger, newer buildings next door overshadow this gem! Gindy and Harry at the front desk are incredibly hospitable, and run the place like pros. Both are very attentive, and provided a warm, welcoming vibe. We appreciated the free bottled water and simple continental breakfast options. The coffee was strong and good, with a nice assortment of breads, bagels, spreads, pastries, yogurts, tea, fresh fruit, juices, etc. Check-in was easy, some decent amenities on site, good location - proximal to everything in Bellingham with lots of food options nearby. The Thai restaurant across the street was nice, as well as the deep tissue massage down the street at QQ Oasis Massage (I had therapist Melody - would recommend). My teenage daughter and I shared the twin room, and we enjoyed the air-conditioning working well, comfortable beds and linens, and excellent shower pressure with endless hot water. Don’t judge a book by its proverbial cover - we’ll definitely stay again on our next trip, and found the combination of hospitality, amenities, and location, good value for the money.

Excellent value for the money paid, short drive to town, great continental breakfast included… room was very clean and bed is comfortable.

Friendly staff, simple and sufficient breakfast, spacious room

Cheapest in town, friendly staffs, clean room and toilet, comfortable bed, free breakfasts, what can you ask for for this price! Highly recommend.
