This hotel in Banff is absolutely worth it for the price. We highly recommend it. The fireplace was especially amazing and made our stay extra cozy. We also loved that we were able to prepare our own meals, which was very convenient. On the day we stayed, it snowed heavily and the temperature dropped to -27°C. The underground parking was truly a lifesaver and made a huge difference in such extreme weather. However, we were a bit disappointed to find some hair and dust left on the sofa bed bedding. That part could definitely be improved. It’s a great place to bring children, and we really enjoyed our stay. It’s just a little sad that during summer or peak season, it’s almost impossible to find this place at such a good price.

The resort is closed to a campground so it’s typical to see people passing by. Our loft is in front of a mountain that seems so closed. The loft has a kitchen (stove, fridge, sink, and plates etc) so we were able to reheat our food, have tea, cook noodles. There are two queen beds in the loft. And supposed to be a sofa bed or another folding bed. My friend just slept on the sofa for a night. There’s another washroom in the loft. To take a shower, you can use the main washroom. Overall, we like our stay at the resort. It is old yet affordable. And were able to borrow a cork screw at the front desk. Thanks to the friendly staff. The only downside is that we have to park in the basement. I wished our room is closed to the parking lot (just in front of the loft) just like the others. Maybe you can request that. When it comes to the price, it is probably one of the cheapest hotels to stay at Banff. If you are driving, this is an ideal location for budget travellers. For backpackers, you might want to book a hotel closed or at the heart of downtown. Make sure to visit / hike the nearby campground (I camp here ages ago) or visit the hoodos and Tunnel Mountain. Best thing about our stay was the friendliness and attentiveness of the reception staff. They were very helpful with bus information and also helped with arranging our Banff National Park pass. The rooms and hotel itself was very dated and could do with a revamp, though it did the job and was much cheaper than surrounding accommodations. However, the room was spacious and the view of the mountain from our patio was very nice. Complimentary ROAM bus pass was very useful and runs half hourly.
