This place is in a great location and is an excellent value for what it is--and it basically feels like a glorified college residence hall. Check-in was a little hairy because I arrived and realized there is no reception, and I had not received check-in instructions. Apparently I missed the note on the listing that said to contact them with an arrival time. Fair enough, and they didn't make me wait too long for a reply once I told them I was at the property; still, it would have been better if they reached out to me before arrival instead of waiting for me to reach out to them after arrival. But did I mention how great the location is? The shared facilities are fine and the room is also fine. My biggest complaints were: the towels smelled a little funky, and I could hear everything in the hallway and sometimes the nearby rooms. Fortunately this didn't keep me from sleeping well, and did I mention the location? Lots of free parking in the area and walking distance to a lot of attractions in Furnas. The cookies they left were also a nice touch. Would I recommend it to someone on a budget? Absolutely. Would I stay again? Depends on my budget.
