This inn is a true gem. It is located right in the heart of the town of Arcos de Valdevez on a hill with a lovely view down the valley. Shops and restaurants are nearby on all sides. The house itself exudes traditional character and includes comfortable reading rooms and a charming kitchen dining table. There is an excellent swimming pool in the garden out back. And the inviting eco-trail following the Vez River is only a few minutes walk away. But best of all are the proprietors, amazingly hospitable , helpful and engaging -- they already feel like my best friends! Don't miss this excellent opportunity to indulge in Portuguese culture in one of my favorite towns in the country.
