Hands down kudos to Dennis, he made the Cameron experience much more real and away from civilization. Always ready to answer questions too. First night, we were checked into the Queen Room and it was rustic. Perfect environment for us to unwind and stay out from distractions. But just take note to the top, there are old fashioned open holes, making the room pretty open air-ed and its situated in front of the main gate. You could hear people in and out if you are a light sleeper. The bad was also because some inconsiderate people were smoking at main gate and it flows into the room. Requested for a switch and Dennis was a great host. He switched us to the shed just right beside the river. Although its smaller, its much more private, away from the rest of the rooms and much more relaxing. Go for the queen if you need space but if you want full privacy and zen, go for the small ensuite. Its wonderful. Place needs to drive if you wanna visit the rest of the area. Its less cold than the mountain tops hotels. Really worth a try.

A humble & cozy honestly located at a small town. Local foods nearby

The location of this place is really peaceful and quiet because it is in the countryside and very far away from city center. There is almost no activities at night and the quiet time is from 8PM to 10AM everyday because people living around are almost farmers. This place is suitable for someone who likes chilling and healing to stay far away from noise and does not like much to go around because it’s really difficult for using public transportation here. This is like a Homestay because everyone uses shared things and services together. The room is quite small but it has the window so it’s not stuffy at all.

I had a wonderful stay here. The host, Dennis, was so pleasant & helpful. Prior to me checking in, he had already sent me a pdf file with info on food, places to go, etc. Walking into this cozy home was like time travel. All the deco were from the 60s & 70s era. I had booked a standard room but when I saw 'The Shed', I knew I had to have it. Thankfully, it was available. So I upgraded myself to this new abode. It's a tiny self contained "tiny home" at the back of the facility, facing a small river. Oh, the sound of the gushing waters. So soothing. When I was trying to get to sleep, I initially found it a bit noisy but I got used to it after a while. The kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary. Tea, coffee & milo was complementary. Very clean. All in all, I had a great stay. Would surely come back again.

Located at the non commercial area of Cameron highlands. There’s choices of eatery in walking distance where you can enjoy with local’s price. A great place to rest and recharge. Suitable for travellers who seek for solitude. Will definitely revisit.
