Hotel Apartamento Paraiso De Albufeira

Check-in was a disaster, the guy checking us in wanted our booking id which I gave him but then he wanted me to email it to him which didnt work so he took a picture of it with his own phone! For what I dont know but it really slowed down the process and there was 5 of us to check in which took nearly 40 mins. Staff were chatting to each other and on there phones, just seemed like we were annoying them. Room was dated but clean so no complaints there. The resort has a supermarket, coffee shop, tattoo studio and a barbers. Location is good its right in the middle of old and new town, about a 20 min walk but taxis are cheap less than €5

Hotel is in a really good location for old town and strip!

Very dated, maintenance work needed everywhere. Extortionate bar prices. Very very limited buffet choices. Cleaning staff excellent. Rooms well equipped but very basic and drab.

This hotel has a lot of positive’s, the location, price, facilities and staff were all excellent. The one big negative for me as a parent with younger kids was the weed shop, tattoo parlour and vending machine’s selling explicit adult items, in the all in the lobby of the hotel.

We have stayed at the Paraiso about 10 times over the past few years, most of the staff are pleasant, some maybe not so much! The rooms are basic but functional for the amount of time spent in them! They do however in my opinion need upgrading from the dark coloured wood & modernising to make the stay more pleasurable. The beds are not great, rock hard mattresses, the bedding could be better quality also. The location however is what keeps us coming back!
