Monsanto GeoHotel Escola

The room had air con, a wardrobe and desk and we had asked for twin beds which were comfortable. The shower was good but was slow in draining. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent. A very good for value hotel. Near the castle and you could walk through the medieval town easily.

The room was very large with great view. Should have been the 'best' room on our trip, but was the worst. But the room is so outdated. Windows could not be opened...too heavy, dirty. Bathroom faucet was loose, too close to bowl to use easily. Bathroom has black mold at joints. Windows, too. Breakfast was terrible. Everything else shows the hotel is modern but this room was the worst. Not to mention the elevator was not working. This entire room needs to be restored!!!!!! But Monsanto is great.

Excellent staff services

We went during one of the coldest weathers (as many locals have told us) and the heater in the room was neither quiet nor powerful enough. The rooms themselves are small but not too cramped. Unfortunately we are comparing it to many other hotels on our trip and this room was perhaps the least comfortable for us. The staff was very nice, however, and the breakfast was excellent.

This is the only good hotel in Monsanto. The location is convinient to visit around. No many restaurant around.
