Wanting a different kind of Melaka vacation, we stumbled across Rubber Escape by chance. Frankly, we did not even check its location until a day before departure. The location is about 40 minutes to Jonker by car. Due to its remote location, it offers a quiet and peaceful atmosphere surrounded by traditional villages. The establishment is quite small but with only about 12 rooms it is enough for everyone to hv some privacy. Equipped with a small swimming pool and a lounge it is enough for small families to chill and relax. We will definitely be back for more especially when it seems some construction work (hopefully expansion) is going on.

We were warmly greeted by the front desk staff upon arrival, and the check in process was smooth and hassle free. The room was simple and equipped with only the basic amenities, but it was clean and comfortable enough for a short stay. One of the highlights of the resort is its quiet and peaceful environment, making it a great place to relax and unwind. There are several recreational activities available, including a swimming pool, pool table, ping pong, and archery. Guests who enjoy singing can also make use of the karaoke facilities for some fun entertainment. Breakfast in the morning was simple but satisfactory. For dinner, guests will need to make their own arrangements as there are no extensive dining options on site. Fortunately, there are eateries available in the nearby town (Alor Gajah or Cheng) Overall, Rubber Escape is a good choice for those seeking a peaceful getaway with basic facilities and a range of leisure activities.

“The place is beautiful with a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere — perfect for a healing getaway, especially for moms. There are many pools available, and the kids absolutely loved them! Each room comes with a bathtub, which made the stay even more enjoyable for the children. The breakfast was just okay as it was served à la carte, but still decent. At night, the surroundings become very quiet and calm, which we personally enjoyed. However, there were only two staff members managing the place, so service could sometimes be a bit slow. One of the staff members also had difficulty communicating clearly, which made things slightly challenging at times. Since the resort is located in a forest area, there were quite a lot of insects, which is understandable. The next morning, we had to wait for the staff to clean some of the pools because there were many fallen insect wings in the water. Only the main pool was cleaned earlier. Overall, it was still a nice and relaxing stay with a lovely environment for families and short healing trips.”

A great place for a short escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to take a break and unwind. It would be even better if more activities were available, such as board games and a proper archery setup, to keep guests entertained. The breakfast was quite basic and could be improved by offering more self-service options like toast, bread, spreads, and cereals for kids. Overall, it was still a pleasant stay, especially if you're looking to get away from your busy routine and enjoy some peace and relaxation.

Our stay during the weekend, there are pros and cons. Pros : -Nature environment (if you like peaceful and nature) -Nice for a short getaway -They have snooker, archery and swimming pool. Room also has good wifi with tv for YouTube, Netflix, etc They provide breakfast, although choices were limited during our stay Cons : -Location is far from Melaka town area, (if your going to Jonker Street) -Since it’s in nature, expect mosquitoes and lizards at night, rmb to bring anti repellent spray or items to block unwanted guest
