Spacious and good location

Location is good near ferry terminal. Lake view is not visible from inside the apartment. You have to go out to the balcony to see the view. We asked about it and we were told that some has direct view from inside, but the balcony one also considered as lake view. So be specific on the room when you do the booking, otherwise you wont be getting what you expect like us. We also have issue with the balcony. Other people can actually access it since its not locked. We asked to get it lock, but they said maintenance didnt give them the key. On the second day of our stay, someone actually entered the balcony, moved the daybed and left the balcony door opened. After we report it, the staff explained that it might be the maintenance cutting the grass, move the daybed and not putting them back in place.

**The Worst Accommodation During My Italy Trip** Since I was traveling with my 70-year-old parents, it was extremely important for me to stay close to the ferry terminal. Carrying two large suitcases was not easy, especially with elderly parents. I booked this accommodation on April 8, after confirming that it was located very close to the Cadenabbia ferry terminal. In fact, one of the listed advantages of the property was its convenient transportation access. However, when I arrived on May 9, I found out that the Cadenabbia ferry terminal was closed. According to the official website of Navigazione Laghi, the ferry company operating on Lake Como, the Cadenabbia terminal had been scheduled to be closed [from October 2025 until May 31, 2026]. This means the terminal had already been closed long before I made my reservation. I was never informed of this either at the time of booking or afterward. As a result, I had to use the Menaggio ferry terminal instead of Cadenabbia. I waited more than 40 minutes for the bus, but due to delays, it never arrived, so I had no choice but to call a taxi to reach the accommodation. The next day and the day after that, I also had to rely on buses or taxis to get to the Menaggio terminal. This caused additional expenses, wasted time, and significant inconvenience. Who would want to book accommodation near a ferry terminal that is actually closed? If I had known this in advance, I would never have booked this place. On the day I arrived at Varenna station, I asked the host why she had not informed me in advance about the very important fact that the Cadenabbia ferry terminal was closed. I also asked for compensation for the inconvenience and extra costs this caused. However, instead of giving a proper answer, she sent strange messages saying things like Google was not working properly or that I should contact the ferry company myself. She only offered to share bus schedules or a taxi driver’s contact information. None of her responses addressed my actual question: why was I not informed in advance that the nearest ferry terminal was closed? Of course, I never even received an apology. This was my final accommodation during my trip to Italy, and unfortunately, it left me with one of the most uncomfortable and unpleasant memories of the entire journey.
