Vi stayed at hotel palazzo d'Erchia in april 2023. Very nice hotel in a beautifull building. The owner is really nice and helpfull. Breakfast is fine and had all you need. Fresh bread, fruit, good coffee etc. Conversano is a really lovely town. Plenty of nice restaurants. The streets are so romantic. And its a great base for tours to polignano al Mare and Matera, wich are also nice but very touristy. So for a more local experince, go for conversano as the base. Parking. We had a car and had no issues finding a space. The hotel had a papir we put in front screen for free parking 200 meters from hotel within the restricted zone, but the hotel can register your plate so you can go into this area with your car. So comming in car is no problem.
