Sun Rice Homestay

Could improve with a coffee/tea station. Its a long way out of town. Perfect for one night

Good place for family adventure and host is very nice but room conditions must improve a little bit then perfect.

*** and his family are lovely hosts. They organise a free transfer from Ruteng to the homestay when you arrive. They also offer dinner with the family for a very affordable price which is great as the city is a 15/20 minute drive away. They will rent you a scooter which was in good condition. Additionally the room was comfortable and clean. The balcony of the homestay has beautiful views over the rice fields and Jeff offers a sunrise tour of the rice fields which is beautiful! Additionally he will book any transport for onwards travel and he doesn’t overcharge, you pay the driver directly.

We stayed for one night and it was perfect! Nice dinner with the owner and other guests, learning about local traditions. And of course we did the rice fields morning tour with Jeff. Very beautiful view! He took really cool photos. Overall, it was exactly what we needed for a short stay in Rutang. Definitely recommend this homestay.
