Quiet country stay—perfect for local weddings and parties
Stayed in Room 1 for a 21st birthday party in Carrickmacross (about 15 mins away). It’s also the perfect location if you’re attending a wedding at Cabra Castle, as it’s only a short drive down the road. The room was spotlessly clean with a double and a single bed. It had everything we needed: a smart TV, hairdryer, and chargers ready to go. The hosts were very friendly, and the dogs and cats on-site are a huge bonus if you’re an animal lover! The included continental breakfast was great—fresh brown bread, Activia yogurts, and plenty of fruit. Just a heads-up that the kitchen door was locked when we got back late from the party, so we couldn't get water during the night. The decor is a bit old-fashioned, but it fits the quiet country vibe. Overall, a very fair price for a peaceful stay and a handy 11:30 am checkout. Highly recommend!
