The Village Hotel, Bar and Restaurant

Great staff at this hotel and lovely rooms. We celebrated our daughter's birthday with an overnight stay and they could not have done more for us. We had a really great time and the room was ideal also. Will return.

It wouldn't take too much to turn this into a decent hotel offering value for money the biggest problem we had was that the room we were allocated was awful the bathroom door was broken and would not close one of the two glass shelves in the bathroom was missing which meant there was not enough space to place toiletries etc. wash bags too had to sit on the floor which was usually flooded there were heavy curtains at the windows but no net curtains which meant having to choose between privacy or a dark room these problems would have been enough to decide not to return but the main reason we would never return is when we pulled the covers back on the twin beds one of the mattresses was filthy with multiple stains including what appeared to be dried blood and worse, inexcusable!
