The B&B we had researched for our 2-day trip from Dublin was full so they referred us to Gabriel House. It was just lovely - we got a room facing the river/Cork City and it was immaculate. Easy walk to train, and easy bus into Cork City. Bed was terrific and firm, linens very nice, water hot, staff lovely. Only want would be an ice machine. Would definitely stay again.

Great old European house, very charming.. 15 minute walk to city center. Bonus was the sauna and cold dump shower.. really enjoyed the stay..the view from the garden is mostly industrial so don’t expect postcard setting. Very lovely experience.

Best breakfast and best host in Ireland
We had the most delicious breakfast in Ireland! Valerie is an amazing host! We highly recommend this place to travellers to Cork.

Fantastic stay
This if the type of hotel that is hard to find these days. Really high quality service and experience. The staff are friendly, remember your name, accommodating, and just really just lovely. They were all excellent with our young kids and made everyone feel welcome. The breakfast was absolutely stellar. They have their own chickens in the garden and so not only are the eggs fresh, the chef let my children gather the eggs in the morning. We stayed 5 days and we were sad to leave! I can't recommend the hotel more, especially as a family. It's convenient to walk to town and good restaurants right nearby.
