I booked a tent at Dwór w Zabużu (August 5–6) expecting a pleasant glamping experience. What we found was an absolute nightmare. Severe Health Hazard (Uninhabitable Tent): Having worked in respiratory medicine, I can state unequivocally that the tent canvas, window mesh, and zippers were covered in black mold and mildew so severe it was dangerous to breathe. Sleeping in those conditions was completely unsafe and a massive health hazard. It was totally uninhabitable, and we refused to stay inside. This property needs to be reported to Polish health and hygiene authorities immediately. Damaged Room & Poor Amenities: Forced to move indoors, we were shown a room that was still heavily neglected. The desk surface was severely damaged, with large chunks of veneer peeled off exposing bare particle board. The tea selection was bottom-tier, and the only trash can provided in the entire unit was a single small waste bin in the bathroom. Unavailable Facilities: To add to the disappointment, my partner and I tried to book spa treatments to salvaging the trip, only to be told the spa facilities were completely booked up and entirely unavailable to guests staying at the property. Appalling Reception Staff & Zero Empathy: While the cleaning and restaurant staff were pleasant, front-of-house reception was atrocious. They showed zero empathy or understanding of the severe inconvenience and health risk they subjected us to. Extortionate Pricing: Having already paid £70 for an unlivable mold tent, reception forced us to pay an additional £40 just to move to a usable room—offering a pathetic 10% token discount. A reputable hotel would have transferred us immediately at no extra cost. Instead, we were penalized £110 total for their negligence. This stay was stressful, overpriced, and genuinely dangerous to guest health. Avoid this place at all costs.
