The rooms were made of bamboo and were elegantly designed. The staff were all students, they practiced more and did good jobs. They provided 3 meals. When I went out for a trip, they packed lunch for me. The food was delicious, especially the drinks like Sumba beer. A very natural place where I could hear the sounds of some small animals in the morning and at night. It's safe and comfortable to stay there.

Thank you to all the staff, for their service beyond expectations, which made our stay unforgettable. They may be students but they are always helpful, polite and smiling, as we would love to see everywhere. The place itself is very beautiful, made only from bamboo and wood which gives the place a traditional and classy look. Our bungalow was spacious and confortable, I loved the big ovale door in glass. The food is excellent, made from local ingredients only I think since they also run a farm. There is a good choice of non alcoholic drinks. There are several beaches around that can be quickly reached by bike or scooter, clean and calm. I’ve tried the spa which is perfect to relax even more during the stay. Congratulations to the all the people who made this project possible, giving opportunities to young people, it’s a real success.

We are a couple traveling from the U.S and Maringi was our last minute booking after a hiccup happened with our other accommodations. We were immediately impressed by their airport pickup when they gave us water and showed us the stunning bamboo house reception office. The way that the place is constructed is incredible and unlike anything we'd ever seen before. The staff appeared very cooperative with our kosher dietary restrictions and supplied us with produce which we greatly appreciated it. They even went as far as to put an electric stovetop in the pool kitchen for us to use when preparing our food. The supply ended up being limited as I would ask them to restock and they would say okay but then they wouldn't. They almost badger you about what you want and when we'd ask for more produce there wouldn't be any the next day. Overpromise and under deliver seemed to be a common occurrence. One more con is that the mosquito net has been mended and at this point should be replaced. Trips were expensive for Bali although I dont know if thats normal for Sumba. The students are sweet. Keep in mind that they need to ask their supervisor for most things.

ここはホテルであるだけではなく、スタッフの研修機関でもあります。50名もの若い研修生が一生懸命働く姿に心を打たれました。私は一人旅ですが、スタッフが英語で常に話しかけてくれるのでとても楽しく過ごす事ができました。食事は3食含まれていて、とても美味しいので食べすぎてしまいました。アレルギーやベジタリアンなど制限がある方は時前に伝える必要があります。
