I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Intercontinental Xiamen Hotel, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly their Club Lounge, which I consider one of the best I have experienced worldwide. The Club Lounge, situated on the 26th floor, offers a breathtaking view that adds to the overall ambiance. The quality of the food was exceptional, combining both variety and flavor to create a truly memorable dining experience. A special mention must go to the staff in the Club Lounge – Gigi, Gemma, and Fanny. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and exceptional service greatly enhanced my experience. They are truly a credit to the hotel. The room I stayed in was also remarkable, offering great value for the price I paid. It was comfortable, well-appointed, and met all my needs, ensuring a restful and enjoyable stay. Another noteworthy aspect was the breakfast. It was fantastic, with a wide range of options catering to different tastes and preferences, all prepared to a high standard. I am already looking forward to my next stay at the Intercontinental Xiamen Hotel. It is clear that they prioritize guest satisfaction and experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Xiamen. Especially who join Xiamen Marathon.

1) Everthing else would have been great IF the WIFI was Working. 2) Also when I tried to borrow a hotel umbrella from one concierge staff, first,“he stared at me looking like maybe he didnt understand english”, or what I was trying to say so I just tried to make a sign that it’s raining. So he slowly walked towards the lift/elevators and I followed him. I saw him put his head in the lift and search inside for the umbrella?! I wouldn’t know… Then he took his time walking back to the front desk counter to check his computer, (again I wonder what he was trying to do…) Even though I already showed him my keycard as proof of my stay. He seemed not to want to lend me the umbrella….? Out of frustration, I Had to tell the manager at the next counter who was attending to another guest, to explain what was happening. When the concierge guy saw me telling the manager, Only then did he start walking back with purpose, to his original post at the concierge counter. And guess what, he opened the door “right beside him” where they store the umbrella and got one for me. One more thing.. as he handed the precious umbrella to me, he said “I’m sorry” In English! ( As he stared in the beginning, I thought he didnt understand English? Then he actually spoke english!) Of all the staff at the hotel, this guy is the only one who stands out that seemed not to like doing what he was supposed to do. All the rest of the staff are great, proffessional, courteous and accommodating. Thanks to them I had a great time. I spent most of my life staying and living in hotels and this is such a shock coming from a known hotel. Such a pity for a petty thing, affecting the experience and the hotel for an umbrella.
