Hotel Metropol

The hotel is located within walking distance from the river, ancient theatre and the two major cathedrals, and in the mist of innumerable restaurants and shops. I was given a room on the second floor; it was clean, in order and comfortable. I enjoyed sitting in the little balcony - a little sorry that the sun did not shine. The staff made me feel very good and at home. Thank you,

I see many reviews saying the hotel is very old, so I was really worried, but in reality, it is not that old, so I was relieved. The hotel locates at the heart of the city with many shops and restaurants surrounding the hotel. If you are worried it's noisy, rest assured because we can't hear the noise inside the room.

Pleased with our stay. Very cheap. Good continental breakfast. Not very spacious rooms. Right in the center of the city with underground parking facility. Maybe needs some renovation.

As the title suggests, the hotel is perfectly located, so you can easily enjoy the city. The hotel is indeed 3-stars, which means it's decent for a sleep but no frills. It's clean and safe, and the staff are polite. The bathroom was below par, without a fan (so plenty of humidity in the room after a shower) and a rundown ceiling. What was definitely a negative, was the soundproofing. It's practically non-existent, so bring your own earplugs or prepare to be awakened by neighboring rooms and other residents walking down the hallway.
