Steigenberger Resort Alaya

This was an amazing stay and potentially my favorite hotel that I have stayed in. Only thing I would mention is this may not be the best place for solo travelers as everyone is there in groups. I would definitely stay here again - but would come with a group of friends and I will be suggesting this place to everyone I know if they are going to Marsa Alam.

As frequent travelers not just to Egypt, but all around the world, we were quite impressed with the service, the resort grounds, the quality of the food, and the overall experience we had at Steigenberger Alaya. As a first time in a Steigenberger hotel, we can safely say that the standards are top-notch. The massive pools, the outstanding interior design of the lobby but also all restaurants, the gorgeous landscaping, the simple and elegant rooms, it is all just beautiful and inspiring. The food is absolutely amazing in terms of variety and taste. Congrats to the chefs, although we're not particularly pleased with the extra pounds we carried back home :-S The staff is some of the best-trained, professional, and friendly we've had the pleasure to meet on our vacations. We were truly impressed at the level of observation and attention to detail they each displayed. We would like to specifically thank Mr. Ahmed Issa as well as the other Mr. Ahmad from the main restaurant, and also Mr. Wael, Mr. Hassan, Mr. Abdel Rahman, and Mr. Moustafa, not to mention every single person working at the different stations inside the main restaurant, and in the other A La Carte and beach restaurants as well, who were always courteous and ready to serve with a smile. Mr. Abd Elraheem from Mashawi beach restaurant and the staff there did an amazing job with their unmatched welcome. We had one of the best virgin Pina Colada and peach ice tea there :-) Our housekeeping Mr. Ahmad and Mr. Moustafa surprised us with beautiful bed designs and provided us with the amenities needed upon request, and the room was cleaned perfectly on a daily basis. Water was provided as much as we needed in our room, too, and upon arrival, we were greeted with a tasty selection of small pastries and delicious raw nuts with apples and dried fruit. Just wonderful! We sat a few times at the Coraya Beach side and were also well catered by Mr. Adel and Mr. Saber who treated us to good drinks and made sure our stay the
