I have mixed feelings about our stay which we had to extend to 3 nights. I’ll start with the positive: -nice lobby and very helpful front desk staff -for a last minute reservation it was very reasonably priced compared to other budget hotels near the airport that were asking ridiculously inflated prices. -swimming pools with lounge chairs and shaded areas, garden like setting. -good breakfast if included in your rate, overpriced at $20 usd -king suite was spacious, clean and comfortable with lots of seating. No carpets in room so floor was clean. The negative : -many areas are screaming for repairs and renovations, broken tiles on foot paths, hallway carpets worn, stained, faded and patched. I have never seen carpets in such bad state, especially outside room ###. -bathroom, while clean and functional was so out of date it was a little depressing. -sofa had large scorch marks where some idiot rested the iron. -pool needs to be repainted -limited dining, just an Italian restaurant and a very overpriced snackbar( $15 usd for a ham sandwich). Long walk to nearby hotels for more restaurants. In the end we had a decent stay for the money, but this place is in dire need of renovations. If it is able to call itself 5* it is because it meets the criteria for room size, has a gym (surprisingly nice gym), pool and room service, but lower your expectations as it is not a 5* experience.

It’s definitely old but the rooms are huge and staff is great. I didn’t have a refrigerator in my room and they eventually got me one on the second day of my stay. The breakfast was the best part. Easily a $15-20 buffet for free every morning.

The staff was incredibly helpful when my Agoda reservation got booked for the wrong day. Maria sent an email to Agoda for me. It took Agoda over an hour to respond. Jose felt bad for us for having to wait so long that he gave us a room upgrade. It was a lovely place and very nice. I highly recommend it.
