더 캠프 - 레이크 하위

A stunning place in the world if you're looking for a lake with magnificent scenery this is one of the best you'll see anywhere. However unfortunately I found the facilities rather draconian too small and not particularly clean. I came to this park 25 years ago, I think I used the same frying pan. There are a lot more people sadly, like everywhere in the world, over population has decreased the enjoyment of areas like this. However, where I stayed, " the lake side cabin" away from all of the campervans and the majority of people was delightful it's very small but it's all you need there is a kettle in there, they could do with a toaster 👌then I wouldn't have had to go into that kitchen with wall to wall people trying to move in and around each other to get to whatever they needed and you definitely need to bring your own cutlery as there isn't any in the kitchen nor is there any plates you might be lucky to find an old saucepan that's about it.

Lovely spot set amongst trees and on the lakes edge. Our cabin was roomy and clean. Linen and towels included in price.. I liked having a table, jug and fridge in the room. Shelves and clothes hanging was good to have. You need to bring everything for cooking ,except fry pans. The ablution block was a little far for night visit. Appreciated not having to pay for showers. I would recommend this place, and hope to return.

There's a huge variety of accommodation, or take your own. And, a cool family friendly vibe

Accommodation is located right on the lake with breath taking views. Rooms are a little old but toilets and shower are well taken care of and cleaned regularly.

It is a perfect place to go and visit Wanaka without getting caught by the crowd! Nice place, all facilities were tidy and clean. We will go again for sure.
