We stayed for five nights in a junior suite.here’s our take on the hotel… Room: very nice and spotless. A little dated in terms of supporting multiple electronic devices in the same room. Very quiet. Housekeeping staff is exceptional - Filipino folks that work very hard to make you happy. Our housekeeper, ***, was amazing. She did so much to help us enjoy our stsy - she’s a gem. Food; only had breakfast - a buffet - very good but very expensive. If you like cigarettes smoke, sit outside in the open air. There’s no sea air but there’s plenty of cigarette smoke. An interesting situation developed our fist evening when we returned to the hotel carrying two sandwiches and two drinks in a bag to take to the room. We were informed we were not allowed to take the food into our room. Seriously?!?!?!? They started to take them away and I grabbed the bag, cursing the stupid policy, and walked away. We ate our sandwiches away from the hotel and later returned. I can guarantee the security people that prevented us from taking our food to the room knew we were royally pissed, after that evening - they treated us very differently. Spa - here is where we got very upset - pissed as we would say in the states. On the day of our arrival we made appointments for both of us to have 80 minute massage a few days later. The day of our 4 PM scheduled appointment we were approached by one of the therapists. She asked if we were going to come to our 2 PM appointment. We informed her that our appointment was at 4 PM. She was very uncomfortable in saying that someone else was booked at that time (after we made our appointment and did we have the appointment card. I went up to the room and retrieved the card and showed her the 4 PM appointments. She clearly knew the manager had double booked the appointment time and bumped us out.I went tobtgexsoa to talk to the manager. She informed me that she had booked someone else and we could no longer have that time slot. She said - would you like to rebook? No apologies or let us make it up to you. Mind you - this is a pricey five star hotel. We rescheduled for our last day of the visit. Later that day we ran into one of the hotel managers and we explained what happened. She offered a longer massage - 120 minutes - at the lower price. We accepted the offer. She later verified the new offer was set. The next day we came to the spa expecting the agreed upon 120 minute massage for each of us. During the massage it became clear that the therapist knew nothing of the agreed to 120 massage. In fact, another customer was booked immediately after us which made the 120 minute massage impossible. The spa manager stated there was never a 120 minute massage scheduled. What I’d very clear here at the spa - the therapists were outstanding, the spa manager is grossly incompetent with no sense of customer service - she is in way over her head. With these notes, it’s worth mentioning that the hotel business was way down. They stated more than once they were worried about making their numbers so they didn’t want upset the spa customer they booked over us. That was not our problem. This was our first time to stay in a kempinski hotel. Quite an impression. We are on a very extended trip (155 days) and this was our 21st 5 star hotel stay. It ranked 21st out of the 21 hotel stays. I sincerely doubt we will stay in another kempinski hote

I am writing to express my disappointment with the experience during my family stay at your hotel from October 21 to 26. Upon arrival, we encountered a booking issue where only one guest name appeared in your system, despite the original reservation clearly listing all five family members. This error caused a significant delay in receiving our rooms, even though we arrived late and were quite exhausted. Additionally, we were required to pay an extra 1,500 JOD to modify the booking — an unexpected expense far beyond our budget. Furthermore, we were surprised to learn that room access was conditional on paying half of the total cost upfront, a policy that was never mentioned in the original booking terms. We tried to resolve the issue with the front desk team in a reasonable manner, but unfortunately, they were unable or unwilling to provide any assistance to minimize the cost or inconvenience. Overall, this experience was very disappointing and did not reflect the standards expected from a hotel of Kempinski’s reputation. Paying *** for five nights with breakfast only felt unjustified given the circumstances and the service level received. I kindly request that you review this matter, clarify how such an error occurred, and consider appropriate compensation for the inconvenience caused.

The hotel was so nice but they had to take care of the type of people who booked

Sea view room with a large balcony... who can say no?? I would recommend the SPA department, thanks to their professional and friendly reception, I felt an instant tension relief after a treatment.. a change in mind from packed working life to the holiday mood, a must have for a perfect beach holiday!!

I lost my reservation because the front desk upon arrival at 2 am in the morning if you still give me the room because of no-show report at 12 o’clock
