Treacys Hotel & Leisure Centre Waterford

Treacys is a very nice hotel, great location, simple rooms but all that you need. Breakfast staff are particularly friendly and the shaved headed barman (don’t know his name). Was in the bar the day of the 2026 marathon and he kept us hydrated. ;) night porters also very polite. Will return

If you are looking for honest value for money Treacy's is a sound choice. OK everything is not the best but then you are not wanting to pay for the best. The buffet breakfast is only €10 and is as good as any. All the staff are friendly and helpful. My room was a little chilly, I made one mention to the receptionist in the morning and when I returned it was snug and cosy. Yes traffic stops at the lights outside so until late in the evening front facing rooms can be noisy. I had a room on the first floor at the front adjacent to the lights. A €1 set of earplugs gave me a good nights sleep. If you are an experienced traveller and self reliant book here, if you are looking to be cosseted go elsewhere and pay the extra.

I had a comfortable stay at Treacy's Hotel, enjoyed dinner in the pub and relaxed in the hotel's jacuzzi after cycling the Waterford Greenway.

Basic facilities excellent. Decor a bit dingy and access to room complicated, involving two lifts, several corridors and some steps. However, room was very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast very good.
