Close to Kingman Airport. My room was not ready so they put me in a different room for one night. Updating needs work. They patch or paint small spaces. Comforter needs major updating. Worn out. Need to put more towels & wash clothes in the room. Each room has a different amount of towels. My door does not seal completely. You can see light coming in from the bottom & left side of door. Bugs or water & the cold air comes in. The freezer part of fridge needs to be thawed out. All full of frost can hardly put anything into it.

I asked for a receipt when I checked out and the person behind the desk said she could not provide one. I need that receipt to provide to ADOT for reimbursement of my lodging for a remote project assignment. I left my email address with the front desk to receive a receipt, but no response was made. After that, later, I called the motel to request that they send a receipt but they kept over-talking me, being negative, and never sending a receipt. they don't give a hoot about me not being able to get my reimbursement. Very unprofessional and very ungrateful attitude by the motel owners /managers at the front desk.

RUN! Don't walk walk from this nightmare. So much awfulness to share. To start, the parking lot was coned off because they were going to resurface the next day. We had to park in the empty lot next door. Out back behind the other hotel, some guys sat in a camp chair next to the dumpster. Who knows why. I booked online with an app for $54 ($62 with taxes etc). When I get to the horror of a hotel, I see the sign out front says $39 but didn't even mention this large "discount" difference. I came with my legit service dog (I even have a disabled placard in my car) and the man behind the counter asked for my card for the dog. Confused, I asked "what card" as I was coming from out of state and moving to this city, still waiting for our house sale to close, so I thought maybe Arizona had weird ADA rules. He explained if I didn't have a card starting I have a service dog, he'd have to charge me the $20/night per deposit. After 10 seconds of Internet searching, I realized there are no special rules here and let him know he couldn't charge me for a service animal, nor ask me for proof. He got upset and said, "ok I waive fee" ... Yeah buddy, the federal government says you have to by law, not as a favor or courtesy. So then he says "ok I charge you $100 deposit" Again, confusion sets in. He said it was because I booked through a third party, but failed to mention that until after he wasn't allowed to charge for the dog. Fine, whatever, I'm tired from driving 12 hours. The guy before me tried to check in and was told "put in card, pull handle up" but then came back because someone was already in his room. So I was given my key card and told "put card in, pull handle up" but when walking towards the room, dog in tow, I see someone is already in there. I head back to the office and let the guy know. So he changes the room number for the key and tells me "insert card, push handle down"... Is he effing with me? The other two rooms were pull up. No, this one is down... Hmmm. Entering the room it smelled musty. And then I turned on the sink area light to set my bathroom things on the counter. A GIANT, I mean giant, like 4" cockroach scoots across the floor. No. No way. No. I walked back to the office (again) and said there was a giant cockroach in the room. Without hesitation, the man says "I give you refund. You stay somewhere else" like I was the one causing the problem. So, mumbling he says he's refunding my stay and the deposit, and about 10 minutes later writes on a receipt the stay was canceled and money will be back in my account in 36 hours. Again, acting like it was a huge inconvenience to him that I didn't want to stay with bugs or pay for my service dog to stay. 4 days later and I have yet to receive my $60 whatever dollars refund for the room I was in for 10 seconds. I only booked here because reviews said it was ok for a night. Nothing fancy. No one mentioned giant plague harbingers skittering across the floor or the fact that this jackass was angry I called him on his anti-ADA practices. I'm not a scrub, I'm not an addict, I have a great job and appear tidy. He had no right to question me on his mess of a hotel or whether my dog was legit. I will be contacting the authorities about his illegal practices.
