Room AC centralised. AC remote not available to reduce or increase to suite customer needs. Very small TV - just 15 inch. You can't see TV clearly or read news from the bed / distance. Mobile charger socket is small. This should be changed to suite for latest smartphones. Door key card is to be replaced. It doesn't switch off lights & AC when room is closed. It's used only for opening & closing the room. Lights / AC are always on when customer away for hours resulting in waste of electricity. However, STAFF ARE VERY KIND, VERY HELPFUL AND VERY POLITE.

We stayed here for a night. The hotel is located at bye pass location and is well placed. However, the room which was allocated to us had couple of cockroaches, AC was good though old fashioned (knob operated) It was first experience to have such type of AC. Towel, bathroom, sheets were clean and of good quality. We did not taste the food there. Staff is good and courteous.

Everything was good at the restaurant, the food was nice, rooms clean and location close to public transport and cabs. I visited with my 56 years old mother. The interaction with reception lady was VERY HORRIBLE. We traveled from so far and requested for early check in, the rooms were available and people were checking out right in front of us, but she was not at all considerate to let us do early check in. Then she was allowing early checkin for very big famililes needing multiple rooms. We waited so much, had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and came back, still she was not ready to give room and was giving horrible looks. Looked like she didn't like north Indians and was very nice to South Indians. I asked for a cover for Prasad, she even denied that. Which big hotel with restaurant doesn't even have a bag or paper cover? The keys didn't work multiple times and even broke after one use. This place is NOT FOR NORTH INDIANS, especially if you're visiting with family or kids. The interaction with reception lady was TERRIBLE, I repeat, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I paid extra for late check out and the horrible reception lady didn't even agree to the booking and made us check out within half an hour. If you're looking for humble staff, STAY FAR FAR AWAY from this place. The management should fire the reception lady honestly, I don't know how many people might have suffered because of her rude behaviour. We cut out trip short at Madurai so that we didn't have to see her face giving looks everytime, as if it was her dad's hotel. Reception people have minimum education so they need to be trained to provide customer service otherwise there's no point of staying at the good hotel.

I recently stayed at Hotel Germenus and had an exceptional experience! The room was immaculate, modern, and had stunning views. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring Madurai. I highly recommend Germanus for its excellent service, cleanliness, and value.

Hotel is at prime location, but room and bathroom cleanliness are so poor, all amenities are too old and maintenance is very bad
