We were at the stay during Holi festival. The staff were on leave and we were the only guests. The entire facility was single handedly managed by Prashant. A one man show. If you go there with high expectations you will be disappointed. But if you accept the place then you will start appreciating what all it has to offer. The breezy mornings and evenings on the rooftop is the USP. You can have a breathtaking view of the fort, the city and Jaswant Thada. The fort is lit up in the evening and to dine with the monument is worth staying there. You get good photography options on the rooftop restaurant. But maybe due to lack of staff during Holi, food options were limited. Prashant ji becomes the cook and served us with fried rice, poori bhaji and aloo paratha. We did not get non veg food although it was mentioned in the menu. I understand that on Holi purnima, cooking and consuming non veg is avoided, but we continued our stay for 4 days and non veg was not available other than eggs. We however ordered non veg food over Zomato. Room size is ok. Washroom is not that clean. We did not get hot water in the geyser. The owner, a lady from UP was not very well behaved with us. Thanks to Prashant ji that we felt at home. Originally from Uttarakhand, Prashant came across as a hard working, humble and very soft spoken person. I would still recommend this place as it's strategically located. We walked down to Ghantaghar. We walked down from Mehrangarh to the hotel... Although the walk was long and tiring. The historical sites like Gulab sagar lake and Toorji ka Jhalra are also within walking distance. We went to play Holi at Ghanshyam ji ki mandir and that was divine. Inspite of walking through a thick crowd, people and bystanders were so respectful towards us and everyone else. We enjoyed playing the festival of colours with complete strangers and were safe. The walk through the blue corridor was also amazing. Overall, a very satisfying stay at Jodhpur, the sun city

Pros: - Welcoming, kind staff. Super helpful and cooked for us even after arriving late in the evening. - Great food! So yummy and such a good price. Good mix of options if you are craving pancakes and milkshakes they've got you covered. - Location is so ideal to see all the main attractions! - Huge bed! Great sleep! - The value of this place is incomparable! - the most amazing view from the rooftop!! Improvements: - Walls are extremely thin. You can hear everything and people in the other rooms very clearly. We had earbuds so this wasn't an issue at all. Just keep your voice down for privacy if needed. - Bed is quite hard and thin but we found it quite comfortable! - Shower pressure isn't great, but works. You do have to turn on a switch for hot water. Which should be communicated on arrival. We didn't know, so had a cold shower the first night. - Hotel isn't the same name as advertised on Agoda. The sign reads, Royal Cafe and Restaurant, not Royal Heritage Guest House. So beware of this when arriving. We had a great stay!! Thank you ☺️
