Property is surrounded by Singara Tea estate and near to dolphin nose view & Lambs rock points

We stayed two nights at connoor teanest after staying at Teanest nightingale annexe in Kotagiri. The standards are little lower compared to nightingale .Rooms are smaller and they didn’t provide toothpaste also.. staff is not available after 9:30 pm. There was nobody at the reception desk till 7:30 am in the morning ,when we wanted some water bottles.. some of sthe staff were little arrogant too. I found a small snake in the commode next morning and some caterpillars also which was scary especially when you are travelling with children. Property is very beautiful, it’s surrounded by tea estate. They offer free foot massage for females and bird watching. Which are good..food is okay. I wouldn’t say our stay was exceptional as in kotagiri but overall a decent experience.

Food was reasonably good, service was quick but the location of this resort is the highlight

The staff at desk is courteous specially Miss Nancy. Mr Azad, who held the tea tasting session was good at his job. Tea plantation walks, and birdwatching sessions by Mr Azad were nicely conducted and are a refreshing way to spend time in the Nilgiris. Mrs Indra have us a free complementary leg massage and that facility by Teanest was also nice. Our room, Rosemary, for which I paid 6700, was not exactly in the main property. It was 700m uphill in a subsidiary property named Teanest Coonoor Annexe. This is a challenge that customers get to know only when they reach the property. To avail any of the main property's facilities, you have to keep hopping from your Coonoor Teanest Annexe to main Teanest Coonoor, for which the resort provides no conveyance. This was something questionable and annoying. And there's nothing to do at Annexe! The food at the smaller property with Rosemary room was not so good. It was very average and not prepared by a good professional chef. The facilities (like refilling a shampoo bottle took 30 minutes, duhhhh) are super slow. There's a lack of professionalism in the staff there. The resort needs to look after the training of the staff at both main and subsidiary property. There was no resort manager when we reached. He appeared out of the blue next morning. We reached at 2pm and were denied any lunch or snacks. The resort should be open to snacks since tourists have no other source to order food amidst the isolated location. So yes, Rs 6700 wasn't justified. I might not spend more than 4000 for the type of facilities I got at Teanest.

Peaceful, green and serene. If you want a relaxing stay spent mostly on verandahs, this is a great choice. Nice place to just read or chat with your friends/family, walk around the tea plantations, and have Coonoor centre about 10-15mins away.
