We had visited the property on 25th Nov. I selected this property after lot of search on various travel sites. We were taken aback by the beauty of rhe resort as soon as we stepped in. The whole resort has a very vintage charm and each and every corner spells beauty. The ground outside the pantry is so green, vast and best to hangout and for kids to play. Food is very good ...breakfast spread was also sumptuous..though the ala carte items take time to come. The staff is very warm and friendly and they pamper you like anything. The live music in the evening is such an entertaining experience....Didn't feel like leaving the resort and go for sight seeing. Rooms were very clean and spacious...and the outside garden view is so beautiful. All in all...best place to stay in Chikmagalur. One request...if they introduce some bon fire activity in the night...it will be very good.

I recently stayed at Taj Gateway Chikmagalur and had a lovely experience. The property is a cozy, peaceful retreat surrounded by greenery, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The premises are very well maintained, and everything feels clean and thoughtfully cared for. The swimming pool is a great highlight—well-kept and ideal for unwinding. The breakfast spread offered a decent variety, catering to different tastes, and was a pleasant way to start the day. Overall, it’s a comfortable and serene place to stay, especially if you're looking to disconnect and enjoy some quiet time in nature.

Stayed here for 2N/2D Staff: special thanks to Mr Rahul - tourism dept , Mr Macwin, Mr Sanket, Mr Rahul - F &B , Mr Kumar - Gardener for their special welcome and warm service, I enjoyed the natures walk in the resort and gained so much knowledge about the various plant varieties from. mr Kumar, The F &B team was just so wonderful and caring each time we went for meals. Food : lot of variety for the complimentary breakfast and the lunch spread. Dinner was good as well. Live counters have good variety also. Services : good complimentary services - nice evening band , however more activities could be a add on like camp fire etc , the pool needs a complete renovation , current pool dint make me want to swim in it, gym needs an extension and more equipments. Rooms : I stayed at the cottage, spacious, good washroom and showers, nice backyards Location: close to the city about 15 mins drive, but surrounded by enough lush greenery. Easy to find transport. Spa: Good services- Kerala Ayurvedic Spa, they have well experienced senior staff. They accommodate requests for check in and checkout based on availability. Recommended : Yes Budget friendly : Yes

Had a wonderful stay at Gateway Chikmagalur. The property is beautiful, the staff was warm and courteous, and the overall experience was relaxing. Great hospitality and a perfect place to unwind. Highly recommended!

Nice relaxing place, has both pros and cons. Pros- 1. Great staff 2. Good location Cons- 1. To start with, our check-in was delayed, from 2pm to 245pm since they couldn't make the room ready by then. 2. Welcome drink was horrible! 3. Food is not good, take it anything. Even a simple chocolate cake ordered for my child's birthday, was pathetic. Every food is loaded with chilli although they customize it, if needed, but that takes a very long time for them to turnaround. There is no perfection in any kind of food I tasted here. 4. The person designated as local guide/ tour advisor wasn't much knowledgeable either, so we decided to plan the trip our own way. 5. Service is very slow.. they are clearly under-staffed. 6. The grass in the lawn is poor quality and unkept. It's quite tall, so if there is a snae or any other creature, will be difficult to spot!
