Read T&C on Agoda and carry your water bottle
Second time here, and honestly, probably the last. Imagine driving 400 km to this property only to be told they won’t clean your car—just the outside—because ‘it’s not their job.’ The way it was said? Rude. For context, this isn’t our first trip, and having stayed at plenty of places across India and abroad, I know this is a basic courtesy most properties in India offer without fuss. Now, about the water bottles (see pics): 1. Charged at double the market price. 2. No clarity on what’s complimentary, and no labeling on the bottles. When we asked at checkout, the response was: ‘READ Agoda properly.’ So apparently, next time you book, make sure you study Agoda’s terms and conditions—because according to them, it’s Agoda’s job, not the property’s. Bottom line: If you value transparency and basic hospitality, think twice before booking here.

Best location for valley view
The room is nice and has a cottage-style setup, which feels very natural and peaceful. One of the best things about this place is the view—it’s absolutely amazing. You can enjoy it in the morning right from your room window, which is a great experience. Breakfast is decent, and the food is okay as well. However, the pricing is quite high compared to the facilities provided. It feels a bit expensive for what you get. Another thing is that the room lighting is quite dim. A little more brightness would make the stay more comfortable. It might be a personal preference, but better lighting would definitely help. The staff is slightly limited in number, but they still manage things well and provide good service. Overall, it’s a good hotel, but the pricing is on the higher side.

Best Stay of Kasar
I had a really good time. The place is huge with awesome sunset views. Host Prashant is very generous. I would definitely recommend this place, especially the king’s room. Though on price point i found it to be little over the board and breakfast was so so but the serenity of the place will definitely make up for it. Since this place sits on the top of Almora you will have mesmerising views throughout the day.
