The Glenburn Penthouse

We went there for one night just to check what's the hype about. It's a nice property, in the heart of the city close to Park Street. It's a boutique hotel with 9 rooms. The rooms are huge adorned with old Victoria age furnitures, the bed sheet was so soft, never had this experience. Breakfast was good if not excellent. You can see many of Kolkata's sights from the rooftop. 42, Victoria, 2nd Hooghly Bridge, Eden Gardens and Howrah Bridge are few things that you can see from the building. But I like the vibe of a big hotel and if I had a choice I would spend my time in another hotel.

Came for the views but will come again for the warm hospitality and service.

Yes you read right, for a moment it felt very colonial, as if in a time capsule. The property very nice, people were great. Location couldn't have asked for more, centrally located with Metro downstairs, victoria memorial, maidan, etc all nearby. Room was the time capsule collection. Very neat and clean. Loved the Victoria memorial, the 2nd Hooghly bridge all in distant sight with greenery and yes also the concrete in vicinity. Loved the Bed, couch, chaira, the working desk. Breakfast in their restaurant was awesome. The collection of books will keep you for a lazy morning or afternoon. A must go place. Only an advice, there should be some kind of security especially on the 7th floor where the majority rooms located , as it seemed anyone unnecessary can waltz in . Rest would be back soon certainly

The hotel room is amazing, you will never get a better place than this in Kolkata, even in a 7 hotel. The location is also excellent, close to the most happenning area
