The location is terrible, approach road is narrow and hard to drive on. Worst part is the resort itself. Cars to be parked downhill then a terribly maintained Jeep takes you up to the resort, that too in a strange way because you cannot take a turn while going uphill. This is not even the worst part. We were alloted a cottage on the top of the hill and had to climb a gazillion stairs to reception, then to cottage. My son and wife pretty much gave up. Even to get to the restaurant from the cottage was an ordeal with all the steep stairs. Not recommended for anyone who is visiting to relax.

Bad location, inconviniently built

Not satisfactory
The hotel is located about 500 meters uphill, and reaching it is quite exhausting. Our group’s average age was around 32, and even we were out of breath while climbing—so it would be very difficult for elderly people or children. The path also feels risky; if you lose balance, you could easily fall. When it comes to food, the experience was disappointing. The menu mentioned non-vegetarian options, but only vegetarian food was available—and that too was quite tasteless. Even within the vegetarian options, they didn’t serve items as per the menu; you only get whatever is available with them. Prices were very high, especially since you don’t really have the option to go back down 500 meters for better food and then climb up again. They didn’t even provide bottled water—only regular drinking water was available. The only positive aspect was the view from the top, which was nice. However, booking this place just for the view is not worth it, as it ends up spoiling the overall experience.

Good stay
Had a memorable stay at Aaroham at Dalhousie. Food was good although the menu is limited. The mountain view from the cottages was stunning, rooms were clean and the service was great too. The only downside is the location and accessibility especially if accompanied by senior citizens. The hotel is located in a remote place, around 5 km from the main Gandhi Chowk, nothing nearby to explore on foot. There is a steep slope that needs to be climbed to reach the hotel (vehicles cannot go beyond a certain point) and also quite a lot of stairs to reach the cottages. Definitely not recommended if traveling with senior citizens.
