Hotel Wittlicher Hof

I stayed one night at this hotel, and I was really disappointed. When I arrived, the doors were locked, and there was a sign in German telling me to call a number—but if you don’t speak German, you’re stuck. There were no staff on site at the hotel. I only managed to figure it out after another guest (who spoke English) told me what to do. Once inside, it didn’t get better. The floors were dirty and dusty—you could feel it as you walked. The walls were grimy as well. To top it off, the breakfast that was included in the price wasn’t even on the premises. I had to walk to another hotel just to eat breakfast, which felt very misleading. However, the location was perfect. Right in the heart of the city. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it unless these issues are addressed.
