We sadly had just the one night at Merino Stal but this is truly the perfect little country hideaway; perfectly appointed and located picturesquely overlooking Burgerspan lake and in the middle of the countryside with views of nothing but open fields and antelope, zebra and springbok grazing right outside your front porch! This is the perfect stopping point when travelling between the Drakensberg and Kruger, but do yourself a favour and book more than one night; you’re going to thank yourself when you get there!
