Hotel Tilapia

Now my review on Tilapia Hotel Mwanza after spending 7 nights there. Out of 5, Value for money = 3.5 Location = 5 Cleanliness = 4.5 I can give 5 if not for mosquitoes. They fight with bed-net and mosquito spray, but few might still get you, however not that bad. Staff = 4. Well trained, and wonderful. Some don't have the global language, English. Many of them do. Facilities = 4.5, Has wonderful outlay with infrastructure wisely promoting nature, serenity. The plants and flowers are unbelievable. The Manger doubles as a hard working Manager, always available and helping the guests if you have any need. The meals were fantastic. The buffet breakfasts came free with room booking. From their menu, the average lunch and dinner cost go for 30,000 to 35,000 Tanzanian shillings. That's about 14 to 15 USD but may change depending, check with hotel. Eating from Japanese grill (Teppanyaki) costs double that. Only negative thing was we wanted to try the spa facility, but the pricing model is very bad, we did not like that you pay for products to be used for the spa, some more expensive than others,and plus you pay for the handwork of the lady, but you wont use the whole spa product you paid for, as its just a one time service,you dont get to keep it either, so they need to fix that.

Stayed here before and always enjoyed it, but this time they gave me a room where the music was so loud, the whole room moved.

It’s a wonderful property with great view, good food and brilliant service. Highly recommended.
