Pros: Good central location, Low cost (2500 for Ac room and 1950 for Non AC room), Staff are friendly, Room is spacious, King size bed. Cons: Shower not working in bathroom, Entry to hotel is through basement with steps (from there lift to floor is there), Few light stains on bed sheets, No toiletries like tooth brush / soap are provided (budget price maybe can't expect but for awareness), No kitchen so even coffee has to be ordered from outside (one office boy type guy is there to bring), Water pressure is bit low in taps, Wash basin in the room opposite to bathroom (not in the bathroom), Limited parking space so if u come by car no guarantee of parking space

Facility was decent with basics such as toilet with warm water, tv, clean bed. Bring along own towel & toiletteries though.

Overall the stay was below average, cleanliness of the bed and washroom was lacking...

I stayed at CNR residency along with my wife for two nights during Maha Shivratri 2024 which is a peak demand period for Madanapalle. The point that put us off most was the pricing. We paid almost Rs 4700 per night for a room where the average (correct) price point is under Rs 1000. Half the money was deposited upfront online. Where we find fault is that the product did not come even close to matching the cost. There were no special amenities or greater attention to detail despite the outrageous cost. The property is on the main road near the central NTR circle, so, great location. The parking can accommodate up to three cars in front by the side of the main road. The cars need to be reparked when the commercial establishments near the lodge close. Not an issue, except that the car became very dirty in just one night. The lodge is staffed frugally. We were asked to pay the amount for our stay upfront on arrival. I realised , that was because there was just a night watchman on duty in the wee hours. The lodge owner accepted only cash or UPI, no cards! I got the impression that the counselling services / study centre being run alongside the lodge were more of a priority than the lodge itself. The room and the property are as shown in the owner posted photos. Except that the photos are more glamorous and the rooms appear larger than they actually are. Our expectations were of rooms meeting at least three star standards due to the price point. So, I guess that's part of the problem. The rooms were clean but just about. The window sills and sink (outside the bathroom) were dusty and bathroom cleanliness could definitely be better. Getting the hot water going is a trick. Which doesn't work early in the morning as we discovered on Day 2. It appears that attention to detail and personal involvement of the management in supervising room cleanliness was lacking. Plus the frugal staff strength. There were garbage bags littering the corridor. Quite obviously, they are cleared by staff at infrequent intervals. No one came to clean our rooms. So, perhaps they are cleaned only when guests vacate after brief stays. On the plus side, the corridors were clean, the lift was nice. Mr Reddy is a positive cheerful man, despite being busy and under stress during a peak booking period for the lodge. We were promised amenities in the room. We had to request for them, twice. When the staff finally delivered, he flatly said that we were entitled to one towel per room. And no shampoo! Two bottles of water 500 ml to a room. Toothbrushes, small toothpastes and soap bars on a tray. That's it. It took a request to Mr Reddy and instructions to staff to rectify the situation by adding an extra towel and two shampoo sachets for our two night stay as a couple! No refills. They are on request only. The lodge does not have a kitchen. No support. You need to step out even for a cup of tea, no water heater or sachets of tea/coffee in the room. Nothing. Fortunately, there are great tea shops nearby that open early in the morning. I also recommend Sai Ganesh mess for meals. They are good. There is a More Supermarket next door and a SBI ATM as well. Public transportation near the hotel is not an issue. Autos are generally available. There are no mosquito repellents in the room despite the presence of mosquitoes in significant numbers. Fortunately, the More Supermarket nearby obliged, and we purchased one for ourselves. The presence of small cockroaches running around the room and on our bed was not inspiring. The sheets were white to the naked eye. I will not be overly critical of that aspect. The rooms were clean but there is definite scope for improvement. Street sounds filter into the room due to proximity to the main road. But, once the fans were on, particularly the wall fan, no more external noises! Moral - Walk into CNR Residency better informed than we were. Keep your expectations low. Really low. Or, get disappointed and writ

Book ac but given non ac They charge more money to upgrade to ac one In mpl not worth at all Hot water facility only on morning So pls avoid this if u need pleasant trip
