everything was great. But we have to wait for check in time. blower is not working but you can just ask the staff for another one. Overall, it was great staying there. small room but it doesn't matter if you go out and tour around Tromsø most of the time.

Unfortunately, the Smarthotel in Tromsø isn't as smart as it may sound. Check-in is done via a computer terminal, but I had to make a payment for the room again, despite having already paid in advance during the online booking. Fortunately, there was always a staff member available at the front desk who was very friendly and promptly addressed my request, refunding the double payment. The single room is quite small and feels somewhat like a prison cell. The concrete wall looks dirty, and there were stains on the white wall near the bed. The bed has a mattress topper that kept shifting while I slept. There's only a small table and chair in the room. The TV comes with a built-in Chromecast, but there were often issues with streaming, and the TV frequently reported low storage availability, which may have caused the streaming issues. The heating was not working; I plugged it in and turned up the thermostat, but even after hours, the radiator remained cold. The bathroom is very small but sufficient for one person. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was always on. The shower door didn't close properly, leaving a gap, so the floor near the sink also got wet. There was only a small trash bin in the bathroom for the entire room. The room was only cleaned every fourth day. One positive aspect: the window could be fully opened. Breakfast is not included. I only booked it for one day. It's sufficient, but I decided to have breakfast outside for this price. The hotel's location is great, very central, with a supermarket and bus stations nearby. I would recommend it for a maximum of 1-2 nights. If you plan to stay longer in Tromsø, it's better to invest a bit more money in a different hotel.

We had a three-night stay at this hotel, and it was okay overall. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was conveniently located in the town center. We arrived after 1:30 am, and they made sure we had a smooth check-in process. They even helped us book a taxi and a tour while we were staying. However, the rooms were quite small and not suitable for couples. There were no wardrobes, shelves, or storage space to keep our clothes and other belongings. We literally had to live out of our bags. The hotel didn’t have many amenities, such as a water , coffee in room , or daily cleaning service. We also noticed that the prices were quite high, especially since we booked it last minute and it was a weekend. While the hotel itself wasn’t bad, it’s definitely not a good choice for couples. It’s better to plan your trip months in advance to get better prices. Tromsø offers a lot to nature lovers, but it’s expensive. Plan your budget accordingly.

5-10min walk from most meet up points for the tours. The room was small but it was fit for purpose. The single bed was comfy to sleep in with warm blanket. No kettle in the room, but there is hot water (with options of coffee and tea) and croissant round the clock at the restaurant area for free. There was a microwave too; too bad I didn’t notice that until the day I left.
