Abbey is one of the accommodation located in the Raymond Island. The room is very clean and the surrounding area is beautiful. For the Koala and animal seekers, Abbey is a great choice as it is located on the Koala Trail which we found two Koala sleeping overnight on the trees just in front of the building.

The location and environment of the hotel are very good. You can see kangaroos in the yard through the window of the room. Interestingly, there is a koala in the tree next to my parking space. It's just that the moisture-proof is not good enough. It rained on the day we checked in. After taking a shower, the whole floor of the room was full of water, dirty and slippery. The quilt was also damp, and we had to use a hair dryer to blow hot air into the quilt before going to bed. The heating function of the air conditioner was very poor. My mother was woken up by the cold several times. Oh, the kitchen is great and big, with complete kitchen utensils.

A great place to stay and explore Gippsland lakes from. You can immerse yourself in nature. Explore the restaurants at Paynesville. Check out the boating scene and use the wonderful ferry which is the only way to alight on the island.

A nice spot but once you’ve seen the cuddly bears, that’s it. To eat and drink you need to use the ferry that runs regularly. It only crosses a couple of inches of water (ok, 50 metres, what evs).

A great place to go to unwind and enjoy the quiet. Close to the Ferry and there is a lovely place to sit by the lake and relax. I was thrilled to see koalas right where I was staying. There is no good tv reception however at least not in motel unti 6. That wasn’t a huge priority for me though.
