Had a great stay at this property. Bed and pillows were excellent, Place was super clean, choice of both air con or a fan. Very comfy stay.

Chris is a nice guy who likes to keep his house clean. He passionately shows us his two cute puppies and we had a nice conversation with him. We certainly have some concerns when we read the comments before but we are quiet and tidy people. So we don’t encounter any issues. Our room has its own TV and we enjoy watching movies at night. Very new and clean house. We actually enjoy the stay and will recommend to others.

I would very much recommend this place to stay when in need of accommodation. For the price i payed, the hospitality and quality was exceptional. Would stay again.

I have booked many accommodations through Agoda, but this was the first time I experienced such intimidating, aggressive, and unprofessional treatment from a host. When we arrived, we rang the doorbell, but the host was not home. We used the door code to enter the house, took off our shoes inside, and placed them in the shoe rack next to the door. A few hours later, the host sent us a message claiming—based on his security camera—that we entered the house without removing our shoes outside. Only after checking in did we notice a long message containing all the house rules that had been sent through Agoda. The rules stated that shoes must be taken off outside and placed on the outdoor shoe rack. We were not aware of these rules at the time of our arrival. It is unreasonable to expect guests to follow rules they were not informed of beforehand. He then warned us, “If you break another house rule you will be asked to leave my house with no refund.” His tone was very commanding and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. The next day, we accidentally forgot to turn off the air conditioner when checking out. The host was not at home during our entire stay, so we never met him in person. At around 3 pm, he sent another message stating that leaving the air conditioner on was a violation of his house rules (even though this rule was never mentioned anywhere) and told us he would either report us to Agoda as “misconduct guests” or require us to pay an additional $50 directly to him. Considering that I booked through Agoda, I found it highly inappropriate and unprofessional for him to demand direct payment. His messages felt hostile rather than hospitable. These interactions made me feel extremely uncomfortable throughout my stay. The way he referenced the security cameras also made me feel as though I was being watched, which added to the stress. This property has an excessive number of house rules, and the host enforces them in a very strict and aggressive manner. Because of this, I cannot recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a comfortable and respectful stay.

We stayed 8 nights in this homestay, and the experience was deeply uncomfortable from the very first day. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was cold, authoritarian, and rushed. A very long list of rules was imposed on us immediately, several of which were not communicated before booking (for example, a total ban on cooking red meat such as beef or pork). After learning our nationality, the host made condescending remarks, such as explaining that we should sleep in the sheets and not on them. He then went through all his rules without pause and repeatedly told me that I “clearly didn’t understand anything judging by my face,” when I was simply overwhelmed by the amount of information. The overall atmosphere was heavy and anxiety-inducing. The host exerted constant psychological pressure, repeatedly threatening immediate eviction for the slightest mistake, obviously without any refund. I did not feel comfortable being alone with him, which is absolutely not normal in an accommodation. To the point that I asked my partner to stay close to me when I was doing the dishes, out of fear of being alone with the host. We were also judged for our personal organization (wanting to stay in our room to rest on a Sunday) as well as for the way we cooked. The notion of trust was completely one-sided: he demanded total obedience while showing excessive mistrust toward us. The property is equipped with numerous cameras, and we were required to leave our bedroom door open while we were away, supposedly so he could check that the air conditioning was turned off. This is a clear violation of privacy. Regarding cleanliness, the shared areas were dirty upon our arrival. We initially tolerated this since they were shared with other tenants. However, from Monday onward, we were alone with the host, and the common areas remained dirty until the end of the week. We always clean up after ourselves, yet he asked us to clean an area of the kitchen that he claimed we had dirtied while cooking gyozas, even though the area was already very dirty, with many dead flies visible around the stovetop and the window. Before leaving, we also noticed signs posted by neighbors explicitly targeting this house, with extremely disturbing messages. I obviously cannot verify the context, but it reinforced an already strong feeling of insecurity. Positive point: the room itself was comfortable and pleasant. However, the owner’s behavior, the anxiety-inducing atmosphere, the lack of respect, the absence of any feeling of safety, and the condition of the shared areas make this accommodation not recommendable. I strongly discourage staying here, especially for foreign travelers, couples, and anyone looking for a calm, respectful, and safe environment.
