Check in time is 2pm, we arrived at 2.30 and room was not ready until after 3. It’s school holidays so a little busier than normal but staff accordingly, you know what bookings you have. Also, room was not cleaned after our first night so no fresh towels available for our 2nd day, not sure if this is normal but no advice was received about room not being cleaned daily.

We recently stayed at Charlesworth Resort in Coffs Harbour and overall had a really enjoyable experience. For a 4-star property, it delivers well across the key areas you’d expect. The location is definitely a highlight—peaceful, surrounded by greenery, and still close enough to beaches and town to be convenient. It feels like a bit of a retreat without being isolated. The grounds are well maintained and give a relaxed, coastal resort vibe. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely presented. While not ultra-luxury, they were spacious enough and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bedding was particularly good, and we appreciated the little touches like a balcony and natural light. Facilities were solid for a 4-star resort. The pool area was great for unwinding, and there were enough amenities to keep you entertained without needing to leave the property. Staff were friendly and helpful, which made a noticeable difference—they were approachable and quick to assist when needed. Food and dining were good, though not standout. Breakfast and meals were enjoyable, but there’s room for improvement in terms of variety and consistency. Still, it met expectations for a resort of this level. Overall, Charlesworth Resort offers great value for a 4-star stay. It’s comfortable, well-located, and relaxing—ideal for a weekend getaway or a longer coastal break. With a few small refinements, it could easily push closer to a higher-tier experience.

Greeting was fabulous, room was very clean. Unfortunately we had an older executive studio, so no USB outlets and had to drive 7 mins to Bunnings to purchase a connector. Kitchenette too small. Took advantage of on-site restaurant, lovely meal. Would come back again but not to the executive studio.

Our room was very old and dated but it was comfortable and clean. Excellent communication.

We recently enjoyed a three-night stay at Charlesworth Bay. The location is unbeatable close to shops, multiple golf courses, pools, nearby beaches, and The Big Banana Fun Park. That said, the room floor was noticeably dirty and the overall room decor felt dated. With some attention to cleanliness and updates, this property could be excellent. Otherwise, everything else met our expectations
