Only stayed 1 night before return flight & took a ground level room as bag too heavy to get up stairs. I accepted one next to driveway opposite reception but later regretted it once I heard the noisy metal security gate opening & closing next to my room - luckily most guests didnt come in too late. Inside room was fine but I was wary of how secure the sliding door catch was. Little front yard was untidy with discarded trousers & shoe lying on ground & no water in fountain. Area next to pool looked unkempt also.

I booked the spa room, so that I may relax and have a good soak. The spa was very grimy and dirty. I cleaned the bath 3 night in a row with hot water and cleaning products. First time, there was green rings and brownout, second time scum and brown rings, third time white scum foam. Pretty gross. Bathroom is tired, old and out dated. Old mattresses stacked outside room, rubbish out front entrance, reception was dirty with sticky floors. Room was clean enough. Bed was comfortable and towels, were changed every day which ws nice. Staff were kind and helpful. Felt safe in room. No connection to Netflix or other streaming media online. Was okay as a base. Good location. Close to CBD. Everything is nearby on foot.

Comfortable and quiet and reasonable value. Showing its age and exterior a bit messy but room interior was clean and tidy. Bathroom revamp pretty good but need a better tradesman next time to finish the work properly e.g. towel rail falling off the wall.
