오팔 핫 스프링스 & 홀리데이 파크

As hot pools go this pool was not hot enough (certainly not the temperature it was claimed to be) and full of kids (was there in kids summer break). Stayed in a cabin which i hadn’t realised didn’t contain a bathroom but did have kitchen facilities. Room was clean and bed comfy — though you have to bring your own bedding.

Generally, the Opal Hot springs was absolutely beautiful. The weather there was super stinking hot, I recommend to have a handy portable fan on your being throughout summer time. Accommodation was okay but honestly the cost was rather steep for the Standard bunk cabins, for 2 adults 1 infant, 2 nights 3 days. conveniently it wasn't the fact that the only available rooms that were left were cabins with sharing communal facilities etc. But the prices were ridiculously high for what i got, & also it was a non-refundable booking. Which i was quite aware of, I felt like I personally didnt get my moneys worth as on the first day/night of check in, I had unfortunately received some heart breaking news that My Aunty had passed away. Çause too the no-show of check in. The Host of Opal Springs couldn't get in contact with me as I genuinely forgot to update my information on the App I booked the room off, so due to the sad news, I had emailed the Host apologizing for my inconveniences, letting them know my circumstances and that I will be arriving around midnight- 1.00am the latest as i was just gonna count my loses & wait for my deceased Aunt to be released or continue with my stay as its non-refundable &try to have a good time, I still arrived there just after midnight not realizing the Holiday park opens 9:00am-closes9:00pm, so myself, my mother and my infant child ended up sleeping out in our car for our first night waiting till opening time. The lady who served me that morning complained for staying up all night waiting for me, not knowing i had emailed stating my purpose &confirming my time of arrival. But Hei aha, it is what it is. Everything was out of my control, with the non-refundable booking, and myself doing a no-show but showed up late ones, either way, the bright side of things is that the owner of Opal Hot springs still got paid.

Great location and facilities.

Good location near Matamata. Clean and tidy cabin. Nice pool and hot water pool. Would recommend

The place is quiet and clean. Staff are accommodating and kind. I love the place because it has its own pool and the temperature is just perfectly warm to soothe our body from a long tired day.
