We stayed at Sunseeker lodge before in summer and really enjoyed it. This time we stayed in winter for my husband's birthday and it was a bit chilly and too rainy to do much. We also left early due to the weather. We'll be back in summer though!

Whangaroa in winter

Amazing experience!
My husband and I stayed 1 night at Sunseeker Lodge and were blown away by the entire experience! Our rooms were huge, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The owners were so kind and they even changed the reservation for us because I accidentally booked the wrong day! Amazing views, awesome spa pool and within walking distance to restaurants. We cannot wait to come back!

Beautiful location
Located with the most picturesque views, this stay was beautiful! Very lovely hosts, and super easy check in/check out, very private although I can see if the room next door was occupied, the shared outdoor space would not be as private. Disappointed with the lack of spa- a temporary thing while they install a new one, and we would’ve liked this heads up prior to coming as we were very much looking forward to a relaxing spa looking at that gorgeous view! but we will just have to come back when the new spa is installed! The wifi in the room was a little patchy making it difficult to stream anything through the tv, but honestly who needs a screen when you have the outlook this wonderful place has. For the price we paid, this was an exceptionally amazing experience, especially with the Whangaroa fishing club ($5 guest membership required when purchasing any alcohol) an 8 minute stroll away, and St Pauls rock just metres up the street (a MUST for sunrise if you’re up for the muddy walk and rockclimb- simply breathtaking 360 views over the harbour). This accomodation makes you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a home away from home, and is easy to feel comfortable and settled even for just a one night stay. Thanks for having us, will likely see you again in the future!
