Newlands Bed and Breakfast

Lovely area, neat and clean room! Host are very friendly and helpful! However the toilet and bathroom are not inside of our room, they are next to our room. Overall a great and affordable stay before heading to the airport, less crowded and less expensive comparing to Christchurch city :)

Nestled in beautiful west melton, a distance not too far from Christchurch. Yet far enough to stargaze on a cloudless, moonless night sky. On the property sits a huge, very clean and rustic house that is warm and welcoming. The interior features real charm that is especially homey. If you want to experience what’s it like to live as a Kiwi, this is it. Although the property owners weren’t around during my stay. The house’s caretaker Debbie, and owner’s Jack Russel Terrier Toby - made sure my stay was comfortable and accommodated. Parking and amenities are well provided. Love the heated lamps in the toilet. Will visit again and recommend this B&B to anyone!

My stay was absolutely fantastic. I could not have chosen any better accommodations for the first few nights of my first time visiting New Zealand. The owners, Christine and Andrew, are salt of the earth people who truly care to make your stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. The large common area is completely equipped to the nines with all appliances, cutlery, dishes, couches, massive kitchen tables with bench seating, games, books ….I could just move in there with weeks!! The bed with very comfy, cozy, and spacious. The bathroom was sparkling clean (very important for me), as was the rest of the house. The grounds are well appointed with many gardens and planted pots. A bonus for me was the rural setting … so peaceful and quiet. Oh, and I must mention Toby ….. such a sweet friendly little dog! Yes, I wholeheartedly recommend that you book into their home. You shan’t be disappointed. 😊

Christine is super nice and helpful, the location is cool if you have a car. Room is super clean and comfortable. BTW Toby is super cute!

It's a nice place to stay. Enough space, nice garden, nice People. Beds were a little uncomfortable unfortunately. And you need to pay for breakfast, jacuzzi or washing. Wich is fine of course but i couldnt find it on their page.
