There were many pleasant aspects to this hotel - the decorations in the room were attractive and new including a fully tiled shower, and honestly, the bathroom was lovely (as well as clean). Plenty of towels that were spanking clean. HOWEVER. I stayed at the Centennial following a day long conference with a plan to do yoga on the rug of my hotel in the evening. When the extremely pleasant receptionist/manager? showed me the room, there was LITERALLY dirt in the entrance, and lots of stuff on the rug. I wondered why they hadn't vacuumed it, knowing someone would be staying there that night. I asked for a different room. The second room was cleaner but no rug. I asked for a third room. The 3rd room was very nice, although it smelled lightly of moth balls (personally not my favorite), and the rug was cleaner. But really not clean. I could see someones hair strands, there were little bits of this and that on the floor, smears on the dresser and the fridge hadn't been dusted anytime recently. It's really not what you expect from a hotel that charges 250.00 nightly and advertises a special experience. I dealt with all this, laid a towel on the floor to do yoga, and had a sweet sleep. In the morning, because the hotel advertises gluten free options, and I am celiac, I expected to find something available. Which the staff also thought - they managed to rummage up an Udi's blueberry muffin, bc they were OUT of everything else gf. Oh, well. Good thing I travel with breakfast supplies.

A great restored old building. Very comfortable beds. Easy walking distance to all parts of downtown Concord.

The staff was friendly, and very genuine. They even have “wag bags” with treats for our dog so she was looked at as a joy to have instead of a nuisance. The room decor is modern and tasteful (shower stall is even actual tile). I highly recommend this hotel.
