It is located at the end of the strip so it is not as noisy, but still on the main strip so good view and access. Rooms have sliding doors so nice to open up room for beach vibe even though it opened to courtyard and other rooms. Rooms basic but modern and decorated nice beach vibe. Roof top is amazing view of beach, so short walk to have your view. With Naughty Fox bar downstairs easy to order drinks and appetizers to enjoy up there. Good value for price!

Let me first start by saying if your going to Catalina you HAVE TO BOOK WITH THE PORTOFINO HOTEL! My husband and I go to Catalina 2-3 times a year and have stayed at a few vacation home villa rentals and some other hotels and hands down out of all those you couldn't beat the VIP treatment the staff gives you at this hotel. As soon as they found out it was my birthday they sent some champagne and a hand filled out birthday card to say happy birthday! They didn't have to do that and the kindness they showed and thoughtfulness really touched my heart! Also this hotel smells AMAZING the cleanliness of the hotel is 10 out of 10 the location is unbelievably convenient your right across a small street from the shore and sand under your feet. I can honestly say this is my new home away from home even over the villas and vacation rentals I've stayed at. Thank you all at the PORTOFINO hotel for making this trip one I will always remember I greatly appreciate you all!

We loved our night stay at Bellanca. Will definitely stay here again. The bikes and beach chairs were a plus! Definitely recommend this place.

Great location, clean, friendly staff

We check into our room and that was the only thing that went well. We went to our room and unpacked all of our clothes. We went to town for dinner during the baseball playoffs and college football games. We hurried back to our room so we could watch the games. THE TELEVISION DIDN'T WORK!!! We called the front desk, and they called the maintenance person. He came about 10 minutes later (that's fine, I guess) ..... He couldn't get the TV or the cable to start. We had to move everything we brought. So, he could access the television and all the cables. He didn't get the TV on for 15 minutes or so. So, there is 01:00 minute left in the USC game, and it goes out again. Call the front desk and the same tech comes back and takes about 10 minutes to get the TV on again. I asked the tech if they will give us a different room. The tech called the front desk and 10 minutes later they call and tell us they can move us to a different room. We had to pack all our clothes, go outside the building in the rain. That is how you get upstairs to our new accommodation. Sit down and the MLB playoffs are over at this time. Okay, everything is cool. We go back to the bar to watch other games and appetizers. We come back to the room and discover the toilet has been leaking on the floor. So, we just delt with it and had a nice weekend in town. Meanwhile, I paid $ 1,300.00 , for two nights. WE FOUND THE SAME DATE AND TIMES FOR LESS THAN $ 900.00 , a week before the trip. All in all ... I probably won't go back to Catalina.
