I recently stayed at the Catalina. Based on the low rate alone I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. I was in room 94. The kitchen was nice and the 2 extra queen beds were didn't crowd the space. The chair could have been a little more comfortable but that wasn't a big deal considering everything. The place had a really nice view especially from the second story Terrace which was really cool! Although I didn't use them, they had outdoor grills that were in good condition. It was right across from a beach access which made it convenient to get to the beach. Overall I great stay!

No frills but perfect location!
I traveled with my 5 year old daughter and adored the quiet location (away from the chaotic area of the strip) and being directly across the street from the perfect beach access. I also traveled with my small dog and appreciated the chance to bring him. The full fridge/oven/microwave and bathtub are perfect to have for a family. I did have an issue with that fridge and they were swiftly responsive and solved the problem while I was out to breakfast. Cons: the floor stayed dirty even with sweeping and the bedding wasn’t the best. Tip: bring your own toiletries! And maybe even Clorox wipes.

We had a great stay at The Catalina! The room was clean, comfortable, and just a short walk to a beautiful, quiet beach. The location was perfect, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We’d happily stay here again!

Quiet, comfy, excellent location. Its not fancy, but the folks running it are prompt and helpful, and the location cannot be beat!
