Great stay and amazing spot!!
Loved our stay here!! Right downtown and just off of 95! Capital and governor’s mansion across the street along with a beautiful park! My son enjoyed skateboarding around and I LOVED the sites!! I would definitely recommend staying here. We will again for sure 💗

Parking took forever (bad sign)The shower door didn’t close all the way. The restaurant we ordered a Blt and a burger the BLT was delicious but the burger wasn’t completely done as ordered well done had to throw it away.

Expected Better
From the other reviews I thought that I would have better accommodations and guest services. I checked in late and upon arrival, could not find any staff at valet or the front desk and had to search for someone to assist. Once I was able to get checked in I was given a key card with a room number and a room name, but was confused as the room name listed on my key card envelope was different than what the room name said on the door. Once in the room, the accommodations were standard at best. Carpet was dirty, furniture damaged and bathroom shower door would not stay shut. Overall I expected better based on other reviews.

Truly remarkable
The Commonwealth hotel directly across from the state capitol in the capital city of Richmond Virginia is spectacular I stay there quite often on business and on just getaways and I was just there last night when I walked in they greeted me as they always do very friendly and very professional but casual it's not it is four star fabulous hotel it's well appointed at you know has all it's very very very very lovely but it's still very comfortable and you do not it's not stuffy it's not I'm uptight it's very casual atmosphere but very high class high end they upgraded my room without me requesting an upgrade she was sweet when I you know got a room that I can afford they upgraded it with with no you know as it just a nice gesture they really are quite a lovely staff Christina the manager Jessica behind the desk in the valley they were just terrific can't say enough good things about them
