Sunset Inn- Fort Pierce, FL

Very nice place very affordable.

I was skeptical due to the location as I’ve grown up in the area and Fort Pierce does not have the best reputation. However this property was very well maintained, very polite staff, I felt safe and secure. The rooms are set up like efficiency apartments which was very welcoming.

I don’t know where to begin we willstart with the roaches the walls, the fridge the whole room was infested with roaches. You could not put your belongings down without roaches getting into everything. Most of the lighting fixtures and outlets don’t work. The owner let me borrow a broom because they don’t come to clean rooms and the broom had a price tag of $1.29 on it. It was almost broken in half when she gave it to me, it broke the rest of the way while I was sweeping so she charged $20 for the broom even though I offered to buy a new one. All of the towels, washcloths and bedding has cigarette burn holes or stains. Then the lady in the office wants to charge you for stains that are already there. This is the most outrageous hotel I’ve ever stayed at. They try to get money out of you in every which way possible they charge per hotel room key on top of the nightly rate. The tub would not drain. We had to try to plunge it and fear of getting charged for that as well. There was no hot water in the shower. There was almost nothing in the room that was in working order. Stay far away.
